Anyone know which Android version the Sonim Xp5700 runs?
Xp5800 runs 8.1 so probably 7. I think the Xp5700 can’t do VoLTE

Yes I just checked seemed to be 4.4, but it relied on 3G for voice and text messages meaning no VoLTE
As for removing the browser (which probably barely functions at this point) you can use adb
I doubt those specs are accurate. there’s lots of messed up info out there about these older Sonim’s but IDK
The Sonim Xp5700 was released in 2015.
Android 7 wasn’t out yet.
And these phones are always a few years behind.
Either way its not able to make calls on 4G, so unless you are in a 2G area on T-Mobile, it isn’t able to call or text

It’s 4G.
Xp5700 is 4G for the data only, not for calls and text, those relied on 3G, like the blackberry classic
