Anyone ever used a “consumer cellular iris easy flip" phone? Or know anything about this? Obviously seems more on the cheap side, but is it at all usable?
If I remember correctly, it’s pretty bad KaiOS, but not totally unusable. Also, usually locked to Consumer Cellular, and they are not at all nice about unlocking the device. I’m almost positive it’s eSIM-only, which to me seemed like (still) one of the first flip phones I ever saw with eSIM.

Its a very simple flip phone that runs android 12, as far as I know, you can’t install any apps on it, but it would have a hard time handling it anyway since I think it only has 512MB RAM. I think they even removed the browser in a update because it was so bad. Its almost the same exact phone as the boost mobile summit flip. Its on at&t’s whitelist if you want to use it with them (when its carrier unlocked). They are also releasing the IRIS Easy Flip 2 soon too. You already saw my post
What @Flippy is referring to is the IRIS flip (no “easy” in the name). That one runs KaiOS 3.1 and is the first eSIM flip phone and its eSIM only (it has no SIM card slot)

Can someone explain why flashing a custom ROM can interfere with the service.
i assume you mean super because in the super there are also some radio signal apps and if those dont match the ones for the hardware of your device it will mess it up
