Random Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

I use lawnchair launcher on the f21, I wanna make it so when I press a key on the keypad it starts dialing automatically, like on default launcher.
Anyone got any ideas?
Using @Yidish’s new dialer (ty :folded_hands::folded_hands:)
(Even that works directly on quickstep, and it works on lawnchair to press the call button and it opens)

I added that functionality to lawnchair for my new qin rom, I will share it soon. You can also use key mapper - i used it with nova for a long time. Use this keymap (import to keymapper).

Press any number key to dial, including # and *. Longpress 1 for voicemail (Verizon - *86) longpress * to dial +, longpress # to toggle vibrate/silent/normal ringer mode.

I have a constraint set to only trigger on nova launcher home screen - you should change this to quickstep or lawnchair, depending on what you use.

In your new rom are you still able to update lawnchair?

Is there a reason people don’t have WhatsApp on a TCL flip? Does it not work?

Cause it doesn’t have a touch screen?

And since its android 11, virtual mouse’s don’t work…

Plus the screen is small and you need to root it to even install WhatsApp…

Koshervyosher tcl’s have a virtual mouse…

So, I came across the fact that the OnePlus 13 battery is the same size and has pin connectors. BUT it has a lot more juice

I saw some ppl successfully installed the battery, but what nobody mentions is if they edited the DTBO partition to actually support the new capacity. Don’t believe you get the larger capacity benefits if you don’t.

So, my question is, anybody have experience on Qualcomm with flashing a modified unsigned DTBO on unlocked bl? More security and more prone to failure then MTK or no?

@BenTorah any insight?

It’s time for a new battery anyway and id rather order the 13’s.

Many phones do. Main reason for Whatsapp is that it’s EXTREMELY slow

No difference between qcom and MTK for this one. That stage of partition verification is already in AVB land.
vbmeta contains a hash descriptor of what dtbo should look like. If AVB is disabled, it applies for all modes of verification - be it dm-verity or raw hash check (in case of dtbo).

Nice. Gotta find a reputable place to order one.

Update: Ordered! Would be absolutely awesome if all works nicely

Update:

Don’t have the battery yet, but I flashed my modded DTBO to test and we are good!

Reporting 6000!

And then…

Hey flip , when did you buy your Timmkoo and does it have hardware keys.

Best regards

Palutenfan123

Bought it on eBay a while back. No it does not have the buttons.

Hey YourMenahel here are some instructions in order to get Lithium (Android 7 ) working.

You will need to install T-ROM or Manufactory ( I used T-ROM but i don’t know if it works on Manufactory)and need to boot it once.
When that’s done select the scatter.txt file from the Lithium zip in SP flashtool.
Set the mode to “Download only” and untick all files except system.img and boot.img. After that click on the green download button in the Sp flashtool. Turn your Timmkoo off and then plug it in . It should be detected by the Sp flashtool and started the flash process.

When it’s done flashing , unplug it from your Computer and reboot into the TWRP recovery by holding the Power and Volume up buttons for 4-5 seconds .
In the TWRP recovery you go to Wipe →Advanced Wipe select the cache partition and click on wipe to complete. When that’s done go back to the main menu and then on Wipe → Format data.
Type “yes” to complete the formatting.

:warning:By formatting data you will lose all your files:warning:

If that’s done go back to the main menu.
Go to Wipe und Slide the slider to reset it .
When that’s done click on “Reboot system”.
Because it is booting the Android 7 os for the first time it should take some time.

How do I know that this works: I worked with Noah to port the Android 7 base for the Q5/Q3e , from which he made Lithium (the Android 7 version).

If you have any other Questions , please ping me.

Best regards : )

This is more of a “causal” place if that’s the word for it, so you don’t need to make it sound like a email/professional or something like that. Unless you want which, is ok too. Hope this doesn’t sound rude, wasn’t the intention

Anyway welcome to the forums

I’m posting here because I can’t find the “where was it mentioned” thread.

Anyone ever had an LG Exalt that can’t find location on Waze?
And maybe someone also posted a satellite GPS locator app that checks if the phone has GPS ?

Waze works on my LG Exalt as long as I’m near the street, you also have to make sure your location is ON

Yes, I’ve done it in the past- I’m not sure if it’s a hardware problem. That’s why I want the GPS app to test it.
Also weird that on this specific device, the mouse won’t click in certain dialog boxes on Waze.

Would it work to try this on my timmkoo the one without the buttons?

Not sure if this works on the Exalt or not.
