I have the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 laying around in my house it has no use in the US, anyone know if it works in Israel

But supposedly Israel already has shut down 3G just a few weeks ago

This phone doesn’t have VoLTE, so I doubt it would work in Israel, or anywhere that doesn’t have 3G or 2G.

I’m thinking of using this in Israel, does anyone know of an similar Google voice app cuz I used Google voice as an American number till now but Google voice is not supported on this old android version. Or maybe a web Google voice

I was able to text (not call) on google voice web version with a android 8.1 flip phone, I don’t know about android 6.1 (version of android the samsung galaxy folder 2 runs)

If your phone has Wi-Fi calling, just put your active American SIM card in that phone and you can use it completely normally as if you have service if you connect to a Wi-Fi when your in eretz yisroel

U don’t have to bother to connect to wifi.

If u have a existing Israeli sim with some data, that is in the phone together with the American sim it should work.

Using the data from the Israeli sim creates the data pool and the American sim should be automatically pulling day data to connect the call. “Wifi calling”

I heard from someone that it worked with his FIG phone, but I don’t know about the other kosher phones.

It does work on smartphones though.

Having said that I suggest u get a cheap hot Mobile plan for 25-40 shekels, but must include some data.

This probably won’t work with a kosher number.

I have an existing hot mobile SIM card but I’m scared to make phone calls to America because they’re sketchy and sometimes they charge like no one’s business for calling to America

Just select sim 2 (American sim) when placing any call to the USA,

Just curious you tested it with the folder 2, cuz it doesn’t work with American Sims in general

I’ve known ppl that had the folder two and worked in the USA, so could be that there’s either a couple of versions or your service provider ain’t working.

I need a flip phone i have a couple of options in my junk drawer I have a sonim xp3 which is locked to Sprint then I got I don’t remember what called i think Blu phone which is locked to TracFone, and then i have the folder

If it asks you for a code if you put in a non sprint SIM card, you can get it unlocked

If not then… idk
