Not sure what is best for a shul, I do not think that it is smart to connect a TV screen to the internet in a shul.
In conference rooms we usually put a TV screen and behind the screen we put a micro computer. That computer has internet and connects with HDMI to the screen. This will allow you to log in to the computer to make changes if needed while making sure that the TV has no internet. You will also need to set that the TV always use the correct input source (you can usually remove the other input sources from the menu).
Would also be good practice to schedule reboot the computer weekly and have a task to open the website,/software that you will display.
But the second that you use a computer the price does go up…

The fire tv that I bought is being used HDMI only, and turns on to last input.
You can buy a $40 optiplex micro, with Linux, for a website on a browser it’s more than capable.
The 43 inch for 129 seems to be out of stock (Did I get the last one?), but the 50 inch is available.
I need a 43 inch because the box that the current old screen is in is like 44 inches with a current 40 inch screen

Or you can connect it (and take the remote) but it makes the whole tv slower and remote connectivity options are limited or non-existent.
How hard is it to setup? Something that I can do myself easily? Just connect HDMI cable and power?
Easiest? Ubuntu with rdp enabled, or to go much lighter, Debian with rdp or even nomachine is a great remote connectivity option for both.
Anydesk, TeamViewer etc… they all work on Linux
And yeah, HDMI cable and power. Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

Yes, for a shul it probably doesn’t matter much but you decide if it matters.
Also, you can technically use a pi too, but I’m not into them.

You can even go cheaper on the PC by using alpine Linux, but that’s a bit more configuration by you.
In general, look for listings of mini PCs, including Lenovo thinkcentres, HP prodesk or elite desk, and optiplex micro.
Do they all support 4k output?
