I think all do but you could find unlocked ones except this one because it is so new so nobody unlocked it

The Verizon ones are not locked. But it looks like the T-mobile ones do come locked…

I thought the verizon ones are locked to verizon but you could get it unlocked now because they have been out for so long i don’t know i have verizon with the verizon xp3800 which works perfect i also have the sprint version but that one doesn’t work with my verizon service so not sure what is locke and what isn’t

Because after a certain amount of time the companies unlock their phones legally according to the fcc they have to but the xp3plus 5g hasn’t been out for that long so they probably don’t have many unlocked ones

Legally they have to unlock it after a certain amount of time that you have been using the phone as their customer, and after fulfilling whatever conditions the carrier sets.
And even then, it doesn’t unlock automatically, you have to ask them to unlock it.
The only carrier that unlocks their phones automatically is Verizon.
So a phone in the box isn’t getting unlocked, and any phones that come unlocked were unlocked to begin with.

The reason that there aren’t any unlocked versions of this phone is because T-mobile obviously paid them to first only sell to them.

He’s saying it only gets unlocked after YOU use it for a certain amount of time not after a certain amount of time that the phone is on the market

I know but once its on the market for longer people buy it and unlock it and sell it on ebay and that’s what i mean by not out for so long on the market

That doesn’t make unlocked new phones, or explain the unlocked phones on Sonim’s website.
