The FCC approved in September/December 2025 what’s supposed to be the Sonim XP5plus 5G Model X530. It will be released in March 2026. Similar to the Sonim XP3plus 5G which was approved by the FCC in September 2024 and released in march of this year. Will be more or less the same as the Sonim XP5plus that released in 2022 but with a few differences like eSIM, better hardware and 5G. Android version will be 14 or 15. Will have to wait for Sonim for all other info
After putting what’s supposedly the IMEI of the Sonim XP5plus 5G in T-Mobiles IMEI checker, they recognized it as “Sonim Technologies Inc XP530” and giving me a option to activate it using eSIM. So right now it seems very likely they will sell this on T-Mobile, but nothing is for sure until Sonim gives a official announcement
@Air_Condition150 Thanks for collecting all that info. I’m really looking forward to seeing what specs this phone has. I can’t seem to decide on which of the not good phone’s I should get as my Sonim’s are not good anymore. Hope this will be better.
If anyone finds out specs as in storage, RAM and software please update.
i don’t know why, but i have this fair that it’ll be much more secure then the models we already know are pretty secure… (in other words harder to root or get passed any restrictions they might put on.) I really hope i’m wong!!
AT&T will be the first carrier to sell this phone, whether this will be available on other US cariers, I don’t know. Although if unlocked, it should work on T-Mobile and T-Mobile mvno’s
This means that page is built, so it looks like AT&T is ready to go live. The response also logged my city, state and zip so this is hitting the servers.
