Tzibbur App

I have mouse working beautifully.

with root? how are you putting that on a kosher phone? Its not touch which is why the average user bought these kosher phones

you have to cater to your clients most want waze not some other navigation app? does vela show cops and traffic from waze and gmaps?

Yeah, with root.

Totally not a problem for a kosher phone.

Just don’t leave the magisk app on, only apps you previously approved get root.

Yup.

Traffic yeah, cops no.

I would’ve thought so too, except that

how are you filtering it

MDM, custom ROM, whatever you want.

so they have control back to your original problem

easy to remove

What do you mean?

Not for 99.5% of people, and not any worse than if I get it filtered by tag.

I mean, I got @TripleU on the case.

He definitely has more influence than I do.

As far as I heard, they had considered changing course.

i am sorry to say, but ain’t happening

I think we all figured that out by now :slightly_smiling_face:

Is this like Message+ groups? Can you send pictures? Where do I download this?

Please don’t blame the manufacturers—it’s not their fault, as others are holding them hostage…

I’ve worked for two “born Kosher” phone manufacturers and accepted a lower salary just to escape the toxic attitude of those holding the monopoly…

There is a way for Tag It should be an open market so it’s something everybody needs to request from them It should happen

I was speaking to them, and there was agreeing to it but I guess if I am the only one then they have no pressure to do it

It could be with every industry like this tomorrow. It’s with voip etc

They are great and good people. They try to help out. They just need to get feedback in order to understand what people want and need

And by the way, as of now, it’s not usable at all, and it will not be usable So fast because 90% of the phones will not allow this as of now Maybe things will change

@Tora_Tech @SimchaR, you both seem to agree with @ars18 that there’s something about how this type of stuff works that I don’t get.

Either of you care to explain?

Or do you also agree with him that

I’m just trying to understand why we have so people here many insisting that this is how things have to be.

Ya ya… Think of how much we here would contribute if the companies would pick up and work with the communities. For instance - imagine (name a company that spent tons on perfecting their messaging app) would offer Zemer on their devices - INSTANT HIT. Obviously, they would have guidelines and whatnot regarding the direction of development. But zemer is open source. They can fork / create a variant for their device.
Next example. Imagine (name a company that spent tons on perfecting their messaging app) would OS the code, and accept public PRs - and push those updates. Who wouldn’t buy the phone just for that?
I know they’ll be nervous that other companies are going to rip off their work - but there are two things to consider. 1) When opening the software, the devices with the best hardware are the winners. The (name a company that spent tons on perfecting their messaging app) company happens to have very decent and competitive hardware.
2) OSing creates a community of developers who stick to that brand. Someone who is married to their (name a company that spent tons on perfecting their messaging app) phone will start developing for them (for free) and adding all of their dream features… even if another company picks up some of the code, this guy is busy yakking online about his phone, promoting it, and doesn’t care at all that the competition is keeping up. You make a whole chevra of people who already like the phone somewhat start loving it.

Whatever., lemaaseh, never going to happen but would be very nice. Maybe at least one company - or one phone? pleeez?
