Can anyone help me? I’m trying to flash my TCL Flip. I’m running autobooter.exe with drivers installed, and every time I get another error.
Drivers?
works with brom mode - tcl doesn’t have brom mode
Autobooter has worked for me with tcls…
@Mendi_Wildau do u have the t408dl model?
Also your phone must be off for autobooter to work, is it?
Alternatively have you tried with adb
./adb reboot fastboot
I have the 408dl, I already did it once a long time ago and it worked, but now it doesn’t work, I tried with “adb reboot fastboot”, but it reboots and nothing happens
Fact check: True
Fact check: False
Autobooter was originally built by @lgexalter and then by @Lionscribe specifically to boot the TCL Flip 2 into Fastboot mode. Agav, it’s also quite geshmak for all MTK devices. All TCLs have fastboot mode accessible.
That wouldn’t work on a TCL. Even adb reboot bootloader
Try this autobooter from Lionscribe
What happens is that it connects, after 2 seconds the USB port disconnects, and after 2 seconds the USB vcom disconnects.
And autobooter detects it, but the cmd closes immediately.
Try running that autobooter in cmd and send a screenshot
That’s really weird. Something’s probably broken with the phone.
Does the phone screen turn on at all?
no
Are you still trying to fix this issue:
Yes, every time it showed me another error, so I reset it from recovery mode, and now I’m trying to flash but I can’t…
I reset it back and now I enter fastboot mode, thanks everyone!!!
Thats what he claims here
but i found the script and it was written 2 years before he posted it here
by someone called plugburn. so your fact check is wrong.

maybe, i never ownded a TCL. i was just guessing, but now i saw the script and see that it works with preloader mode - something that TCL does have. so you might be right to some extent…
agav, i’ve seen many many posts online about this autobooter tool… it’s not new…
could be the script existed but Lionscribe put it together and made it into a program for the simple people
so basically you both are right the script existed as @TripleU said but the person who made it into the easily executavle program was Lionscribe as @FliphoneBochur said

agav, i’ve seen many many posts online about this autobooter tool… it’s not new…
Was it the tool or the script?

Was it the tool or the script?
script… your right… whatever, i spoke with lgexalter, he said that him, Scott Nicholas and lionscribe optimized it and made it find the com ports of your pc automatically… kitzur…
