eGate-Android MDM-version 1.17-1.19

So doing this for the Google app will allow android auto to work but will hide the Google app?
We need a way to allow Android Auto without having the Google app accessible

I resolved it
On some phones com.android.sim makes a hidden account when you put a sim in

That would definitely be a nice feature, for someone who is wanting to install eGate on a phone he’s actively using, Vs signing out from half the accounts which is unnecessary.

Though with an Android smartphone it’s not that complicated to remove and sign out of all your accounts. It’s just annoying to have to resign into them.

Interesting.

Seems like someone should write up a little Wiki for setting device admin when installing the app for the 1st time, and running it.

Each person seems to be having a different encounter while trying to set device admin.

Just curious what command did you use to pause that? And did you have to re-enable it for the SIM card to work properly?

@DonBot just did:

When you take out the sim, it removes the account
You just have to set the owner without the sim in the phone
Don’t touch the package itself

Beautifully written.

Now we need an index, to house all the beautiful written guides to be able to able to find them when needed.

A thread really doesn’t help, because it leaves it to one person to edit his original post. Though I’m not sure what time frame is to edit an original post for the OP. Besides dumping this on an admin to constantly change or edit the post.

Like you would find on sites like Dansdeals Forum theres a wiki available in each thread or at least the ability to create a Wiki to house all the DP’s in a select thread.

I hear that, just read that in your master thread. Thanks for the write up!

I added what you requested by the way

Thats a nice feature, where you can add a wiki to a select thread or comment.

Best would be to sticky a new thread, and use that as the index for all the guides.
Definitely a good start to attract poeple when coming to visit for the 1st time, seeing the ease to find an entire thread consolidated and rewritten.

Reason I’m advocating for such a post… as all the locked threads never get bumped again and just end up getting washed away with all the new posts/threads being created. Leaving only the select few members who were around when it was made, to reference to it. Or better yet, to even know it exists. Let alone the time it took for that member to put it together so eloquently.

Does Egate work on the LG Wine?
Also, same topic, does anyone know the code to access developer options/USB debugging on the LG Wine LM-Y120QM?

did you try clicking build number 7 times?

I just had to try the same thing I had been trying a few more times…
