The frum seller of ‘greentouch’ phone tried to sell with us mobile, but it never really sold well, that could be because he still charged 300$+ and didn’t have Waze
I do not see how that brings the cost down
Another point to realize is that in theory it is not that expensive compared to the smart devices world where the cheap phones are junky and a good quality phone is 800 - 1000+
Also I feel like it looked a bit like a smartphone so again, defeated the whole purpose…
A qin and cat also look like a smartphone and they are accepted so why not this it checks the keypad box so its not a smartphone
But for a flip phone its expensive
It shows they are willing to work with the frum community so maybe they will sell these phones and bring the prices down
Willing to work with?
A basic action like updating your cc info there is no way to update over the phone
That’s the customer service department not sales and speaking to the manger of the company
Yes we are trying to bring the price down he didn’t help anybody
They cant really actually bring the price down. They cant subsidize the device if its not locked to their network…
So sell some locked and some unlocked
You have a good point. Thats why they are not universally accepted…
But people will still buy it like they buy the qin f30 because it has a keypad
To me the price of the phone should be related to the features offered. For example, I am now a Sunbeam dealer because of how much I like their software stack. Visual voicemail, for example, is such a huge game changer for me in running my business because now I don’t have to dedicate time to listening to every one of inbound voicemails. Sunbeam’s aren’t the cheapest either, but I’ll pay for it any day because of the value it brings me.
I wonder why no other phones were able to pull through on visual voice mail.
The sonim xp3900 has it
There is very little documentation on how it works. Probably need to sign an NDA with each carrier, or something like that.
Most smartphone have it
The sunbeams aren’t good phones usually the casing breaks easily. The price that is offered for the wonder and the fig are both extremely expensive for a product like that no matter what $400 for a flip phone is expensive
