All I can say is that he spent thousands of dollars creating this phone yes itās expensive but itās really not possible for someone to make a phone for that much cheaper And that it should still be a solid product

Thatās only if you take an existing phone and modify the ROM but if you take a non existing phone first thereās a cost to design it samples redesign it then thereās developing fixing developing fixing repeatx10-100 this means youāre paying for developers all along and you have a moq for the order then you need to pay for marketing thenā¦ So I understand if youāre complaining about the price from your end but from the developers end even this price can still be risky for him

because then the phone is locked imagine you buy a phone locked to tracfone then you cannot use it with us mobile for the first two monthsā¦
It would still increase sales to my opinion, at least initially, the phone would have a pr of being legit and stable if itās released with a carrier.
i donāt think that you can make greater sales by locking it to a carrier but either way its not an easy thing to do especially for a start up thatās catering basically only to the jewish community

So you have to target a much bigger audience then the jewish community. Otherwise, thereās no way to sell and produce so enough to keep the price normal. So if you can partner with a carrier, you can definitely get out a kosher version, even unlocked, for ~$100

there isnāt, because no one ever did it like that. People make good phones, and put a lot of time and money into it, but if theyāre only targeting the frum market the price will understandably have to be high

Tcl was launched locked to tracfone and sold for 20 dollars, why?
Not because it was sold by tracfone, only because itās a junky phone and most definitely didnāt cost so much for an established company (previously alcatel) to produce
Look on the sonim phones
You can buy it from tmobile and it costs 210, why? Because it is a much better phone (still with quite a few bugs and annoyances)
The better the phone = more time and money invested = higher retail price
